I registered, why can’t I post/comment right away?

This is because each registration is manually approved – this can take up to 24 hours. Any post you make in the meantime is held in que and can still be approved for posting even if you haven’t received a confirmation email for your registration.

Why does it take so long for my post/comment to show up?

Currently, ITStudent.org is implementing an extension to eliminate spam. Until we feel comfortable with this extension (which may take a while), we have to approve all comments individually for posting. Please keep in mind that posts/comments won’t be censored or edited unless the content is illegal. Itstudent.org will take the same stance as Slashdot regarding posts/comments: The comments are owned by whoever posted them. We are not responsible for them in any way.
