House – part 2

13 Jul

The house will be finalized on the 23rd – I can’t wait. The ex can’t seem to wait either, but found out her child support wasn’t as high as she had hoped…NOW she wants to fight for full custody because she’s not sure she can pay the mortgage on the house she wanted. Basically, she’s expecting my kids to become her personal bank account in which I will end up paying for her mortgage. I’m sorry, but $500.00 a month to only have custody half of the month? I think that’s plenty. It’s a damn shame greed is motivating her. It’s based on the fact that she STILL hasn’t created a resume to apply for a real job though she’s had years to do so and knew for months that she needed to. Welcome to my world.

So now the children are going to suffer because she feels sorry for herself because she didn’t have a job for years – she had the privelage of staying home with the children. She’s upset because she will have to work full time and “never see the kids like she used to”. Well, I’m sorry, but that’s how it’s done in the real world. I did it for years…I would’ve given anything to be able to stay home with the kids and take care of them. At least the 3-1/2 year old would’ve been potty trained by now as well as being able to speak in complete sentences like the other kids. It appears that the “stay home mom” thing wasn’t her bag either…again, now my children will suffer for it. It’s upsetting. Why take them away from me? So she can continue to raise them in the same path they’re following? I’m a good father – unlike my own. She’s trying to deny me from being the father I want to be just like when we were together – she would always take the kids to her moms rather than let me hang out with them.

I just want to be a father to my children, not a every-other-weekend-every-wednesday-night-fill-in. That’s not acceptable to me – my only hope is that the judge feels the same way as I do. God (or whoever or if there even is one) help me.
